Round 5 of the RSEA Motorsport Australia Rally Championship, 27-28 August 2022
The National Championship action is all-daylight on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August. The State Championship action is only run on Saturday 27 August. Please note that while Spectator Tickets are FREE, you need to register by clicking on the Eventbrite Spectator Point Access link above.
On day one, the rally will enter the mountains north west of Heyfield, between Walhalla, Toombon and Glenfalloch. There is one major spectator point on Saturday that will be run twice. You can catch all the teams, running the National and State Championships at the Stoney Creek Road and Downings Road intersection.
This will be the ultimate place to see the cars enter from a fast straight, turn left, then immediately right in a hairpin turn which leads out to a slight left bend uphill. The cars will run through twice, but between those runs, you’ll be able to take the 20 minute trip to the Heyfield Service Park at the Gordon Street Recreation Reserve to watch the teams work quickly to get the cars out for their afternoon run.
On day two, the National Championship competitors rally head north of Briagolong and Stockdale and the teams will experience a mix of challenges on roads quite different to day one.
There are three spectator points planned for Sunday’s action at two different locations north of Briagolong near Stockdale. They’ll be announced leading up to the event. Hint – they’re very different terrain and road types to Saturday’s, not too much farther away from Heyfield.
